What topics do I know a thing or two about?
I synthesized more than a hundred molecules this world has not seen before, intending to cure sicknesses by them in the long run, spending the night at the lab several times; I have developed materials conducting light (Organic electronics), spending the weeks thereafter in complete darkness trying to characterise the material using lasers; I have produced solar cells for Flisom AG, fiddling with the production process, being happily gobsmacked when they would actually produce electricity at sunlight..
I studied Interdisciplinary Natural Sciences at ETH Zurich, a mixture of physics and chemistry, and hold a PhD in organic chemistry. I have taught at college, and I have more than 3 years of working experience at the pharmaceutical industry.
To extend my skills to journalism, I completed a CAS in Special-Interest-Journalism at the MAZ Lucerne for a start.
In my opinion, Natural Sciences and aesthetics have a lot in common: many manifestations of nature are aesthetic, underlying laws follow aesthetic principles at times as well.. and also theories explaining nature are possibly called elegant.. science is not only about truth, but also about beauty. This is what I want you to share with me.
